How to make it
This banana bread recipe is really easy to prep. Mash the bananas in a bowl, then add in the other wet ingredients. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Slowly pour the dry into the wet ingredients and stir until combined. If you are adding chocolate chips, chia seeds, or walnuts, add them in now and stir. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake!

Tips and variations
- Sweeter loaf: Add 2–3 tbsp coconut sugar or brown sugar. The recipe, as it’s written here, is very mildly sweetened with maple syrup. If you add chocolate chips, they add even more
- Extra flavor: Swirl 2 tbsp almond butter on top of the batter before baking
- Kid-friendly muffins: Divide batter into muffin tins and bake for 18–22 minutes
- Make it school-safe by using sunflower seed butter in place of almond butter
- Leave out the chocolate chips and add walnuts
- Add in chia seeds for a healthy omega 3 addition
